Oyakata Kokonoe (the fifty eighth yokodzun Tiyonofudzi), two years occupying the second step in the wrestling management, left Board of directors of Japanese Association of sumo.
The winner of thirty one tournaments suffered defeat on elections.
Eleven people applied for ten places. All trainers-mentors participated in vote.
Into Board of directors entered oyakata Kitanoumi, Takanokhana, Hakkaka, Isegakham, Ogurum, Kagamiyam, Tiganour, Matsugane, Dekiyam and Tomodzuna.
