On the World games of martial arts which started last week in St. Petersburg, Ukraine holds the fourth place in a team competition. In our asset ten medals: "gold", four "silver" and five medals of bronze advantage. It is remarkable that eight (!)  medals – three "silver" and five "brounze" – won... domestic sumoist. Among prize-winners – a sevastopolets Konstantin Ermakov. – Competitions very serious, – are told by Konstantin Ermakov. – In my weight there were very strong rivals, I lost in a semi-final to the Japanese – the repeated world champion and the World games, there were three very strong Russian wrestlers, the Brazilian strong. "Bronze" was given not so easily: in wrestling for the third place I won against the serious Russian. That is remarkable, the Crimea – base for the Ukrainian national team: in the Small Beacon near Alushta there is a special educational and training base. – National team nearly a half – inhabitants of the Crimea, – speaks Victor Serdyukov-Alyabyev, the president of the Crimean federation of wrestling of sumo and one of trainers of the national team. – And it were not simply competitions: I wanted and went, here it was necessary to obtain the license, from the Crimea two more candidates – Midat Kurbedinov (the first number of our national team in the weight) had to go and Ilona Biresh, it is a pity that to them didn't sign the license. The trainer speaks: sumo for us becomes a mass sport. To remember the same Konstantin Ermakov from Sevastopol which last year became the first Ukrainian world champion in sumo in a super heavyweight. To our young sumoist pay attention in the homeland of this sport, the most perspective according to the arrangement invite for three years in vocational school of sumo. And so Japanese recognized him as the greatest wrestler, equal to which there were no 2,5 thousand years, he is a demigod! It was invincible ten years, from 1960 to 1970. He died last year, he was 72 years old, and left sports in protest because гёдзе(judge) put the wrong assessment.
