The federation of primordial entertainments and ethnosports of Russia held the Festival of traditional single combats at the international exhibition "Martial Arts and Combat Sports in the Modern World" within the official cultural program II of the World games of martial arts Sportakkord 2013 under patronage the IOC in St. Petersburg.

Traditional types of wrestling were presented in the program of a festival: the Buryat wrestling bukhe-barildaan, the Russian wrestling for-vorotok, the Tatar wrestling koresh, the Khanty-Mansi wrestling nyul-takhli and the Yakut wrestling hapsagay. In all five types of wrestling competitions were held in two weight categories (to 80 kg and over 80 kg) among adults. Winners, in strict accordance with national tradition were awarded only. Wrestlers appeared before public in traditional clothes. Competitions in each type of wrestling preceded and finished performances a folk of collectives and were carried out under folk music.

The president of FIZER Alexey Kylasov declared at opening that the Festival of traditional single combats is held for the purpose of demonstration of cultural diversity of wrestling traditions of the people of Russia. He emphasized that the main objective of a festival is platform creation for dialogue of cultures in the field of single combats and adjustment of cooperation between the organizations working in the field of traditional games.

Vice-president of FIZER, director of the Republican center of national sports of a name of Vasily Manchaara, deputy Tumen's Il – The state meeting of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Innokenty Grigoryev declared that creation of Federation of primordial entertainments and ethnosports of Russia gave a new impulse to development of traditional games and search of new forms of their organization, such, as this Festival of traditional single combats.

The director of the department of physical culture and sport of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area, Olympic champion Evgeny Redkin emphasized that game traditions always serve as decoration of the numerous international and national championships in the district.

The executive director of Federation the buddy of Russia Rafil Akhmetkhanov noted that in development of traditional types of wrestling sports and ethnosports can harmoniously coexist, according to him, traditional татарчаthe buddy remains decoration of the Sabantyy and national rules make an ethnosports basis, but at the same time, also the sports direction – wrestling on belts successfully develops, that was presented in the University games program in Kazan.

Despite success of action, the president of FIZER Alexey Kylasov expressed concern in a state of affairs in the field of preservation and development of traditional games:

"Unfortunately, preservation and development of the Russian traditions remains only civil initiative. It is paradoxical, but our aspiration to present the Russian traditions didn't find support at the state and commercial structures. The governor of the Tambov region didn't respond at all to the letter of our federation with the offer to support presentation of the registered object of the cultural heritage occurring in the territory of the Tambov region. And the management of the II World games of martial arts Sportakkord 2013 in St. Petersburg gave the only opportunity to present traditional types of single combats of Russians and other people of Russia only on a commercial basis within the international exhibition "Martial Arts and Combat Sports in the Modern World".
