Nine countries took part in competitions.  Sumoista competed both in individual, and in command superiority.  In tournament three Tajik athletes who combated in personal offset acted.  The structure of the Tajik team included Fotekh Mukhtorov (+115 kg), Rustam Gulomaliyev (to 115 kg) and Bekhzod Ishratov (to 115 kg). 

Within preparation for the European tournament the Tajik athletes carried out fruitful trainings and as the Tajik master of sumo Fotekh Mukhtorov speaks, the team set a task to win medals. Rustam Gulomaliyev and Fotekh Mukhtorov as a result won bronze awards, and Bekhzod Ishratov became the fifth in tournament.
