More than 100 people participated in the championship aged from 18 years and are higher. Among them there was also the master of sports of Russia on wrestling koresh, the double world champion in wrestling on belts Albert Rakhmatullin, the master of sports of Russia on wrestling on belts, the world champion in wrestling koresh Radif Akchurin, the champion of Europe on fwrestling kuresh, the champion of Russia on wrestling koresh Nail Mukhametyanov and others.

The strongest wrestlers of the region competed in five weight categories: 60 kg, 70 kg, 80 kg, 90 kg and over 90 kg.

Radif Akchurin became the absolute champion of the republic. As a prize he received a traditional ram and the TV set.

In category of 60 kg the first place was taken by Ilfat Ibatullin, in category of 70 kg - Arthur Zulkarnayev, 80 kg - Nail Mukhametyanov, to 90 kg - Rustam Islamov, over 90 kg - Radif Akchurin.
