On the eve of a holiday of the Great Victory in Bayantau Sports palace the III republican wrestling championship on belts of memory of the master of sports of the USSR on wrestling of sambo of Tuleutaya Kanayev, the known businessman in the Pavlodar Priirtyshje and the patron came to the end.

Zone wrestling – one of the most ancient types of national single combats data about which go to depth of centuries. The clay image of the wrestlers which hands are weaved in capture for a belt of each other is stored in a museum of the International Olympic committee. The clay fresco is dated for 1700-2000 B.C. Certificates on zone wrestling meet in literature of the people more than seventy countries of Europe and Asia. Each of these types of wrestling, certainly, has the national features, but at the heart of single combat – capture for a belt of the rival.

Present tournament brought together in Pavlodar athletes from Astana, Almaty, Akmolinsky, Aktyubinsk, Atyrausky, Zhambylsky, Karaganda, Pavlodar and Southern Kazakhstan areas. Organizers of tournament prepared, except the medals, memorable prizes for athletes of eight weight categories. Fights on a wrestling mat attracted fans of this zone wrestling with staginess and serious heat. According to the chief judge of competitions Nurlybeka Ermaganbetova, IIIчемпионат of Kazakhstan passed at excellent organizational level, having visually shown the increased skill of athletes and growth of popularity of this sport in our country.

Champions in the weight categories became: Tanatar Nurzhan (Aktobe, 57 kg), Aynadin Murat (Aktobe, 62 kg), Eltayev Shadiyar (Pavlodar region, 68 kg), Nurlanula Erbol (Karaganda region, 75 kg), Imanbekov Kayrat (Pavlodar region, 82 kg), Kulmagambetov Aydos (Astana, 90 kg), Oskanov Eskarkhan (Astana, 100 kg), Bazartayev Aydos (Aktobe area, over 100 kg).
