The Japanese Association of sumo will try a role of the matchmaker.
Recently in Japan there were popular the large-scale city parties intended for acquaintances. Them call "mati-kon" ("MATI" - "city", "kon" - in abbreviated form from English "company").
The association of sumo plans to collect the company from hundred people in the eighth day of Summer tournament on May 19th. The mati-kon program includes visit of school of preparation of beginners cumotori , a dinner in located in the neighbourhood with the sumo Palace "Kokugikan" restaurant and viewing of duels of the strongest rikisi.
Unmarried women are invited to shows with girlfriends and single men with friends aged from 20 till 39 years. All participants of action have to be dressed in a kimono. For women the ticket for two costs 7800 yens (about 78 dollars), for men – 11800 yens (about 118 dollars). Kimono rent is included in the cost of tickets.
At restaurant looking for companions and partners in life will be given the traditional food of wrestlers of sumo cooked in a kettle – tyanko nabe.
The purpose of an unusual action is sumo promoting among active youth.
