Bakhtiyar Akhmedov participated in sparrings on training of the Dagestan national team.

— It came to be trained for itself — he told the correspondent of wrestdag.ru. — I gained excess weight, and it would be desirable to make toilet. For the last one and a half years this my fifth visit of a wrestling hall. In a different way it is impossible though the desire to be trained is always. I after all gave 20 years to fight, and for these years trainings became for me requirement, but also there are a wish to communicate to children on command, to be aware of the events occurring in the wrestling world.

— That is the speech about renewal of career doesn't go any more?

— Now I am engaged in serious business, and would like to concentrate on it. Many, probably, think that I left sports after coupled with me in February of last year of incident with a gunshot wound, but it not so. I accepted the decision to finish career in 2012, right after the championship of Russia in Petersburg.

— By the way, concerning incident it was officially reported that there was a spontaneous shot, but then as it usually happens, various versions began to appear …

— It wouldn't be desirable to speak on this subject. This unpleasant case already in the past, also it would be desirable to forget about it.

— How now with health?

— I underwent two operations. Some time I kept to a diet, I couldn't lift weights weighing more than three kilograms, but now I feel well, I can even fully train, as you can see. But nevertheless won't prevent to listen to doctors, and I will go to inspection soon.

— With what your business is connected?

— With retail trade in food. I direct the Karavan company into which eight supermarkets of the same name two of which were open in December, and also the production shops, delivering for our shops semi-finished products and confectionery enter. In total in our network of supermarkets, by the way, the first in Dagestan, workplaces were received by 700 people, we realize 15 thousand names of food. And it not a limit as we grow, we extend.

— It is possible to watch what occurs today in wrestling?

— My work takes so much time that on anything another doesn't remain to time. In one and a half years I managed to look only at duels of heavyweights in the World Cup.

— Hadzhimurat Gatsalov's victory didn't surprise?

— Absolutely not. I would be surprised if it I happened some time ago when heavy weight was much stronger, than now. In this Olympic cycle while I don't see bright heavyweight wrestlers, except for Bilyal Makhov who if, of course, at it is everything is all right with health, can return again on former level and to become the leader in the world. If nevertheless to allocate someone, perhaps, it is possible to mark out the Turk Taha Akgulya, American Tervel Dlagnev, good heavyweights are at the Georgian and Iranians.

— And what you can tell about the present national team of Dagestan?

— In it there are a lot of young, perspective children who are capable to grow up in cool wrestlers but provided that will work over itself. I think, the trainer's staff led by Sazhid Sazhidov won't allow them to relax. It is very important that behind team there is the board of trustees headed by Omar Murtuzaliev and Saygid Murtazaliyev. Thanks to these people wrestlers get material support. I felt it on myself and when my affairs declined. The state pays only to those who showed result in the World Cups and Europe and Russia, but after all is much potentially strong athletes who don't have today these results, but tomorrow they will be. They too should be supported, as does the board of trustees, and such attention serves as additional incentive for wrestlers, positively affects a microclimate in team.
