The president of Rem-93 club Valery Polishevsky about a scandalous duel of heavyweights Mikhail Gazayev and Konstantin Glukhov.

The duel between the Russian fighter of MMA heavyweight Mikhail Gazayev (3-0, Rem-93) and Konstantin Glukhov (26-14) of Latvia which took place on November 30 within the M-1 Challenge 44 tournament in Tula and Glukhov's zavershilsyaskandalny disqualification, left a set of not resolved questions.  First of all, it concerns moral ethical standards which the Latvian athlete neglected, having sent the vis-a-vis to a heavy knockout in the forbidden blow.  Also important aspect in this situation is also that fact that the athlete renounced rules, in fact, having broken a precept of one of the most rigid sports.  And after all, as we know, rules in fighting single combats are written with blood.

We will remind, Gazayev won a victory because Glukhov was disqualified for a kick on the rival who was in orchestra seats.  According to the regulations stated in the charter of the promotion company M-1, this blow is forbidden in case the rival is on a floor three points of support.  Gazayev had three points of support that is well looked through on a video review.  As a result of a heavy knockout Gazayev was hospitalized with the diagnosis concussion and till today is in hospital.

To find out all details of an event, we contacted the president of the Rem-93 company Valery Polishevsky representing interests of Mikhail, and learned the much interesting.  In particular, about the broken fight Gazayev – Monson, knockout consequences in a duel with Glukhov and a revenge which severe Ural guys are ready to provide to the Latvian guest in the territory.

— Valery Nikolaevich, give about everything one after another. With what everything began how it turned out what exactly Glukhov became Gazayev's rival?

— We push long ago Mischa that he made the way within Challenge M-1. So it turned out that long time for it didn't pay attention. It is clear that he is a fighter the young pro in the status, but once it is necessary to begin. Besides Mischa has a tremendous amateur career where he proved everything that that level outgrew and is ready to look further. The chance to get on Challenge at it appeared while on November 16 M-1 organized tournament in Surgut. We purposefully prepared for this fight, the Frenchman of the Arab origin Malik Merad had to become the rival. But for any unclear reasons Merad couldn't take off for Surgut, having lost in Sheremetyevo corridors. As a result the duel should be cancelled … To Gazayev suggested to prepare for the following date — on November 30. And here in eight days prior to the planned event there is an offer to carry out fight with Glukhov which, frankly speaking, became for us a bolt from the blue. But a call accepted.

Gazayev was ready to carry out fight not only with Glukhov on November 30 in Tula, but also on December 13 against Jeff Monson in Chelyabinsk.

— You weren't confused what penals of preparation were in that case got by the squeezed?

—  All this perfectly understood both a trainer's staff, and the athlete, but we had no choice.  To progress, the fighter has to be in a fighting tone constantly.  If this tone isn't present, stagnation process begins.  Besides, Mischa was ready to carry out fight not only with Glukhov on November 30 in Tula, but also on December 13 against Jeff Monson in Chelyabinsk.

— Wanted to kill two birds with one stone?

— Mischa was in a good form and was stable. We realized as far as would be significant if he won against the rival with such name as Monson. Therefore the task tactically to play Glukhov to minimize probability of receiving injuries was set for our trainers. And then we counted that Mischa will be able to participate in tournament in Ural.

—  Tactics went to damage to quality, but after all even in that case Gazayev had attempts of the transfer to orchestra seats, only from this a little that turned out.

— Here we have claims to the athlete as he is the strong basic fighter and quite could turn an issue of the combat either painful, or or it is simple to hammer with suffocating reception. But it didn't use it. Therefore both I, and at a trainer's staff in this plan have questions to Mischa. It was impossible to conduct so passively a battle for 15 minutes.

—  After that fight a half of fans noted a unilateral manner of conducting fight by Gazayev supposedly in a rack this guy doesn't show anything.

— Gazayev rather young fighter, to it is only 24 years, it carried out not so many fights on a professional ring. We have fighters who during a duel don't listen to team of trainers. And it is pleasant to me as far as he exclusively well is able to listen to councils of the seconds. He had an installation to adhere to a certain tactical style. If we now remember the first mixed single combats European championship among fans as Mischa fought there with the same Gadzhibabayev who at that time was the world champion in a kickboxing … Or to remember the first championship of Russia in Chekhov when he had to fight with three-four known fighters within one day. If for December 13 fight with Monson wasn't outlined, Mischa surely would fight with Glukhov in a rack.

—  Other half of fans of single combats asked a question, why so skilled fighter as Glukhov behind which shoulders more than 35 carried-out fights by rules of the mixed style, weren't accepted by Gazayev's call and didn't try forces with the beginner in orchestra seats.

—  Here it also surprises me.  How, being such titled fighter, Glukhov ran from Mischa, and not the reverse?  Time of people leaves in рэйдж, it has to be universal, has to be able and fight, and fight.  And being in any situation, you have to have some options of continuation of actions.  And I thought that Glukhov will act thus.  But that all of us saw in its execution, surprised and disappointed.  All 15 minutes Glukhov only also did that ran from Mischa.  In my understanding it has to possess blow, skills of fight, a greppling, opportunity to do suffocating and painful receptions.  If you are declared on tournament on миксфайту, you have to possess the corresponding technical arsenal.

— Whether the behavior and Glukhov's statement after the end of fight touched you?

— I even can't pick up words to characterize Glukhov's actions. In the first days I was overflowed in general by emotions. After that I still heard its interview in which it instead of expressing as the man, to tell that got excited, and to apologize, started telling unseemly things. He told that in a week in Riga will speak at tournament where it is possible to beat on the head-legged, and that supposedly it well fulfilled today this blow. That is he recognizes that violated rules by which it had to fight here. Let's present that tomorrow on Gazayev's place there will be Ivanov, and the day after tomorrow Petrov. One it will bite off an ear, and to the second will pull out an eye and after that will behave similarly, disagreeing with official points of rules. The paradox that the person comes from other country to our country and proves to be thus. At us at the state level it is offered to play sports not to do of people of disabled people and to do the healthy nation, healthy children who have to have a future. I don't know, maybe, in Baltic it is accepted to do on the contrary, maybe, at them to the people much and they don't feel sorry for the. But for us it is very important that it there was a mass sport. And what mother will send the child to single combats, having seen what Glukhov got up? Yes never in life! And for us it only sports. I can't be at loss for words that though somehow to justify its act, even at all respect for its regalia. It simply spat on our rules, on our laws. Sorry, it there arrived the guest worker from other country to earn here at us money. And first of all it has to learn rules of this country. Real men so don't behave.

Yes, you can strike with a hand or a foot, but on same life doesn't come to an end. There have to be other values, good breeding. How on the example of Glukhov's this act trainers of the wards can bring up? If after fight Glukhov told: "Well I didn't sustain, well took off. Mischa, excuse me". We would clap to it and forgave all. But not only that he naturally истерил on a ring, so also after that behaves boorishly. It not in a sports way, it is impossible to do so, it is necessary to respect the rival and to keep the human shape.

—  Duel Gazayev – Glukhov already managed to christen as the most scandalous fight of 2013.  From there is quite reasonable question:  when to wait for a revenge?  After all this history made itself, and fans want to see continuation.

— Usually the match revenge is offered by a defeated party, but I wouldn't like to wait when it will be declared by Glukhov. Revenge — this wish of our fellow countrymen, trainer's structure and mine — as president of club and federation. I would suggest to carry out a revenge in Chelyabinsk within one of the Challenge M-1 tournaments, and Gazayev has huge chances of a victory. It is convinced that the Ural fans very much want to see how Mischa will win against Glukhov. And I have in it no doubts.

— You guarantee spectacular fight?

—  We assure admirers that it will be a spectacular duel as the arsenal at Mischa is rather great, ambitions already went, and nobody intends to give up.  Experts know:  to grow up the heavyweight, the corresponding sparring partners are necessary.  In our team, except Khetagurov and Gazayev, is some more good tyazhy which were at these children sparring partners earlier.

— There is such expression: "The order beats a class, but happens and vice versa, and is frequent" …

—  About level at which Gazayev is ready to fight, I can tell that to such rivals as Glukhov, Mischa is completely ready.  And if we raise now at Overem or Velasquez … (Smiles.  )  But here, say, Mischa's opposition with the same picturesque fighter Kenny Garner would be very interesting to be seen now.  Many fans don't understand, potential at Gazayev is how high.  We want it to show them.

— What is known of terms of recovery of Mikhail when he will be able to start trainings?

—  Two months Mischa will be restored.  He felt sick, we made MRT and found out that there is a concussion.  Until the end of December it will stay under supervision of physicians.  After restoration, in the spring, we plan performance in the championship of Russia.  Therefore if there would be an opportunity to battle to Glukhov somewhere in June — the middle of summer, we with pleasure and with impatience accepted this battle.  I hope, the president of M-1 of Global Vadim Finkelstein will support us in the matter and we will make a match revenge which will place all points over "i".
