The Kazakhstan fighter of the mixed single combats Kuat Hamitov won a victory in the debut duel within the prestigious Indian Super Fight Leaguein Mumbai tournament.

The representative of Afghanistan Baz Mahomed was Kuat's rival in the first duel. On the expiration of three rounds of a duel by the unanimous decision of judges the victory was awarded to our fighter. In "Sports.kz" interview the fighter of the mixed single combats Kuat Hamitov told about the duel in India and shared the impressions about this country.

— Kuat, we congratulate you on a victory in Super Fight League. Tell, this victory how hard was given you?

— Thanks for congratulations. The victory was given me very difficult. It, in general, probably, was the most difficult fight in my career. Last duel, besides was, my debut in Super Fight League. And in the first fight I should meet very strong rival, the representative of Afghanistan of Bas Mahomed. Bases Mahomed — the known fighter in India, he already acted in SFL and won. Were here and victories a knockout... Our fight was considered as the second fight of evening on the importance. The rival wasn't bad prepared, was in a good physical form. We carried out 3 rounds for five minutes. To the first two rounds there was a mutual exchange of blows, there was real "cabin". My rival and I visited a knock-down and as that advantage wasn't at one of us. However in the third round I after all inclined a bowl of scales on the party, and the unanimous decision of judges to me awarded a victory. By the way, very few people expected it: all thought that the victory will be won by my rival.

— Tell a little about Super Fight League. What is the competitions are?

— Super Fight League — is the Indian league on the mixed single combats which exists the second year and in which fighters from the different countries act. Many known fighters who now act in such prestigious leagues as UFC, Strikeforce, acted in due time in SFL. Super Fight League — is the prestigious organization, and through it it will be easier to break through in the same UFC and Strikeforce. Here all very much was pleasant to me: the tournament organization, carrying out fights, meeting of participants of tournament — all was at high professional level. It impressed me and therefore I can tell that SFL — is that tournament in which I would like to act.

— How there took place preparation for a duel with the fighter from Afghanistan?

— As a whole, I was prepared for a duel rather well. We with team of Alash Prayd fight club carried out ten-day collecting in mountains between Kazakhstan and China. There worked over all-physical preparation: ran, worked with stones — generally — carried out good preparation. Then me the offer to act in SFL arrived, and I decided to agree on a duel. Eventually, at that moment I felt very not bad... I consider that the victory in last duel to me managed to be won thanks to Allah and thanks to support of my trainer Danesh Dungenbayev....

— How to you India? It wasn't necessary to happen in this country earlier?

— In India I was for the first time. However earlier it was much has heard a lot about this country. In the childhood also I watched the Indian movies. On my trip to India there were, of course, many positive moments... But among them, unfortunately, there are also sad. In India there are a lot of poor people — when you look at them, it becomes very sad... We need to rejoice that we live in such country, as Kazakhstan. I stayed in India only a week and very much missed the Homeland. Such feeling as though the whole month stayed abroad.

— Your contract with Super Fight League is signed for a year. How many fights under the contract you have to carry out?

— Initially the contract here consists only on one fight. Then representatives of SFL look how you will carry out the duel that you from yourself represent and if you suit them, to you offer the contract from one to three years. I plan to sign the contract on 4-5 fights — I think that I will be able to see off on one fight of times in two months.

— The mixed single combats are how popular in India?

— The mixed single combats — one of the most quickly developing sports, every year they find the increasing popularity in many countries. And India in this case — not an exception. The mixed single combats cause a great interest in this country. For example, when I was in the airport of India already with the won Cup, many approached to me and congratulated me on a victory — it concerns both locals, and foreigners.

— Than you are engaged directly now? It is already known when you will carry out the following fight?

— I arrived yesterday from India. At present I have a rest, I visit the family. The following fight I plan to carry out in a month. For a start I will have a rest days ten and I will begin preparation. Probably, the following fight — will be at once "for a belt", and it is possible, for a belt I will fight a bit later — even through one fight... I here actually wouldn't like to hurry. I want to carry out some fights and already, then to battle for a belt of the champion of SFL.
