Interview to Hardy Dan's father

Alina: Hello, Mark. Tell what it – to be the father of the professional fighter?

Mark: These are very mixed feelings. We very much are proud of it because it has positive impact on lives of people and is known around the world. But at the same time, we are nervous when it is injured; as his father, I feel the same pain which is felt by Dan when to it strike blows. Its pain – my pain. I don't want to see his disappointment when he suffers a defeat. But when he wins – the pleasure for the son overflows me.

And. : Tell about Hard's family. Than each family member is fond?

M: We very much like to spend time in rural areas, in mountains, on hills and in the open air. My wife has a big passion to care of children, it works in kindergarten since Dan was 2 years old. She also likes to travel. My daughter Gemma – the elementary school teacher, and at it is musical talent. Generally she plays a piano, but owns also other musical instruments. Gemma writes songs and she has such beautiful voice that she is simply obliged to become known! As for me, I very much like to travel, I love mountains and the sea. I am happy when my children are healthy and their life successfully develops, it that forces me to smile. Nearly I didn't forget, all of us very much love hockey! And. : Whether your family observes special traditions?

M: We surely celebrate Christmas in full strength. We with the wife always say to children that anything terrible if they celebrate somewhere in other place. But they disagree, and every year for Christmas Gemma stays at home and there comes Dan.

And. : Tell, please, than now Dan is engaged? I "trace" its Twitter, but not absolutely I catch in what its primary activity consists.

M:  No problem.  Dan continues cooperation with UFC, travels with performances as the representative not only this organization, but also his main sponsors much:  Xyience, Venum, ESP Cars and so on.  Every day Dan devotes to trainings (now he is fond of bikram-yoga) and simply enjoys life.  The last three weeks it carried out in Great Britain with a family and met friends.  Today (21.08.2013) it went to Holland to meet fans.  On Friday we there also will meet it together to go on a hockey match.  The last week, before departure to Holland, Dan was in London, gave interview for new TV of the BT Sport channel.

And. : Couple of words about Dan's bride – Elizabeth. It very much is pleasant to me, and about it any information.

M: Ellie – very beautiful girl, both inside, and outside. If Dan is fated to be with it, and will be. We already accepted it in the family.

And. : We very much wait Dan's return to a cage, whether there is at you any information on it?

M:  I think, this question at all on lips.  Last year Dan shared with us the plans concerning that, how many fights will be before his resignation.  It doesn't cancel plans, but they should be postponed because of an unresolved question with its diagnosis of a syndrome of Wolf-Parkinson-White.  Dan was born with this syndrome, and we knew of it, none of us didn't see in it threat to its health, but any doctor doesn't want to give it the license.  Dan never was in such fine форме, as now.  But, in spite of the fact that tests showed that Dan the most healthy and hardy person from all which were seen ever by the doctor, this doctor doesn't want to give it the license because of small percent of risk.  I am sure that it will return and if isn't present, such is its destiny.

And. : Who your favourite fighters?

M:  I very much respect ZhSP, its performances and training are exemplary (I so wouldn't tell – a comment of Alina).  I like Fighters from capital letter, drummers, instead of those children who too love the suffocating.  Chris Laytl – the great fighter, at Chris with Dan was an excellent duel, because at their identical mentality and a manner of conducting fight.  Cheyl Sonnen – is magnificent, also I like to look Ben Henderson's fights.  Ross Pearson not only because I am familiar with him thanks to Dan to UFC but because he is really good guy.  I very much like Dean Amazinger – the excellent guy, is strong, as the bull and, probably, is too good to be the fighter.  He will love me that I so told Jimmy Uollkhed, one more excellent fighter from the Rough House team, the good guy who simply needs rest (smiles).

And. : When Dan will return to UFC, what rival you would like for it first of all?

M:  Carlos Kondit, undoubtedly.  I know that Dan too very much wants a revenge.  He wasn't ready to that duel and paid for it.  Dan is better Kondita, the chance to prove it is simply necessary to it.

And. : I wish on behalf of Dan's all fans of wellbeing and happiness to your family, we very much respect all of you. Please, tell to Dan that we love him and for the Russian and Ukrainian fans he - the best! I from 2009th year am an administrator his fan group and I will continue it to support. Good luck!
