— Valery, you were born in not so wrestling city of Malines of Zhitomir area which in Ukraine is known unless for paper plant, and in sports to you – football club "Paperovyk". How you chose wrestling?

—  Everything is simple:  the father in 10 years took away me to Anatoly Aleksandrovich Zadorozhnogo.  In principle, Malines is famous not only football club.  On the Olympic Games my compatriot, cyclist Irina Chuzhinova acted also.

— In the childhood, you except wrestling had any hobbies?

— At first, when we lived in пгт the Resident of Kozelsk in the Chernigov area, went on track and field athletics, and ended one class at music school. Then the father to be closer to parents, decided to move to Malines that near the village of Mikhailovka under Korostenem where mine live the grandfather and the grandmother.

— Your parents are related to sports?

— No. Mother the druggist, works in a drugstore, and the father the doctor, at present – the deputy chief physician. I have a medical family.

— And you didn't want to direct on the feet?

— The father at first wanted that someone from sons too became a physician. But, working as the surgeon, saving lives of people and without filling up nights, the father gets paid peanuts. He didn't want that children went it the road. "Choose whom you want to become therefore I don't want for you the same destiny" the father told me somehow.

— The father met you at the airport, in a vyshivanka …

— He is the patriot of Ukraine. I too have an embroidery, to me children chose from the Western Ukraine. Pure лён, it is pleasant to feel it on a body. Would carry it daily, but the real vyshivanka expensive and it is a pity to use her in an everyday life. Now to go in a vyshivanka – luxury.

— Now you train and respectively you live in Kiev. Comfortably yourself here you feel?

— Seven years already, I got used. Though at times difficult: you see, what here speed, a rhythm, and climate. Now I have two hometowns. In Kiev I spend more time, I have here many friends, and in Malines my house. As a rule, when there is no competitions and collecting, to parents I go weekly.

— By car?

— I don't have it. To Malines I reach on a minibus, across Kiev I go by the subway.

— With your build in a minibus it is difficult...

— I sit, I doze, to go at the good road literally an hour and a half. I arrived, and mother already prepared for me products with herself. When it is impossible to arrive – a minibus transfer.

— How you like to have a rest?

— I prefer outdoor activities, sports. I like to go to the Carpathians, to walk round mountains. Where we have collecting, under Goverla, to drink them a water. On the sea I can be at most some days, it is rather for show. At us usually collecting takes place in Alushta. We white come and we hear questions: "Children, you on a beach go? " "And when?
