The open interregional Parma fights tournament on a grappling (tactical fight) accepted 60 athletes from six cities of Komi at the Central stadium of Syktyvkar.  It took place in the first day of spring which grappler met … in a cage.

The grappling is a type of the combat sport combining in equipment of all wrestling disciplines. Its distinctive feature is that it doesn't include drawing blows and weapon use, and also transfer of fight to a floor.

If selection fights among men who passed on mats, went quickly enough, the semi-final and the final were more intense: fighters for anything didn't want to be given and release a victory. Because of it judges had to fix an extra time more than once. Usually the last decisive point got to the one who was in time the first correctly to apply painful or suffocating reception and to detain with its help of the rival for some seconds.

Children and girls participated at once in the final. Maxim Kanev and Maxim Bazhukov from Sosnogorsk were the most younger participants of tournament. They fought in the category "Children of 10 Years", it is their first fight by rules of a grappling. And among girls the first place was received by Anastasia Kaneva from Syktyvkar.

The first prize – a cup which in the republic was handed over for the first time. By rules that team has to receive it, whose athletes on the general results will take most of all medals in tournament. Though among winners there were grappler and from Ukhta, Vorkuta, Mikuni, Vuktyla and Sosnogorsk, this spring the best became Syktyvkar club of the mixed single combats "North".

According to one of organizers of tournament, competition on a grappling till this day never took place in a cage. Interestingly and that competitions in such format happened for the first time not only in our republic, but also around the world. Before in the oktagena (a cage in the form of an octagon) participants faced only in fights on the mixed single combats. The cage, besides a certain safety for participants and the audience, bears in itself a staginess element which won't prevent in competitions such. Probably, in the near future this new experience will test and in other regions of Russia. However some time for this purpose is required.

The following tournament on Parma fights grappling will take place again in the oktagen at the Central stadium, but in the fall.
