At a special press conference before the UFC 168 tournament heads of the organization reported about start of the digital network "UFC Fight Pass" which will broadcast a unique content, original programs, "Zuffa" videoarchive, in as duels on the air
Up to February 28 the free trial version "UFC Fight Pass" will be available, and upon termination of this term everyone will be able to get the subscription worth $9.99 a month.
Besides, the executive director of UFC, Lorenzo Fertitt declared that next year the organization will strengthen the expansion on the international market.
"We held 38 events outside North America, and all of them were incredibly successful", - Fertitta reported. "Our product is in demand in Europe, South America, Asia and the Middle East, but we had no opportunity to satisfy in these markets demand fully. We decided that it is worth increasing number of actions in these regions. We will carry out on six additional shows in Asia and Europe"
"If we want to attract fans in these markets, we need to broadcast duels in time convenient for them. Now we have to think of how to combine the international translations with time zones of North America"
In the past some international events of UFC began in the morning local time that the live broadcast could get to the American prime time. Now these duels won't be broadcast on the air on television, and will be available in the UFC Fight Pass network.
The president of UFC, Dana White, explained that except the airs the full videoarchive of such organizations will be presented to Strikeforce to networks as PRIDE, WEC, by Affliction, EliteXC and WFA. Besides, "UFC Fight Pass" becomes the only place where the preliminary duels which weren't getting earlier to television air will be broadcast.
In particular, the UFC Fight Night 34 tournament which will take place next week in Singapore, becomes the first action of the organization broadcast on the air by the UFC Fight Pass network.
"We created this network for our fans", - the president of UFC declared. "In fact, we have three main products – at the bottom level there is a The Ultimate Fighter teleproject, the top is occupied by the number actions of the organization broadcast on system of paid translations, and in an average niche Fight Night series tournaments are located. We created "UFC Fight Pass" as much as possible to present the product in the international market as isn't able to satisfy existing demand with old methods"
