While the defending champion of UFC in heavy weight Kane Velasquez is restored, after the transferred nedavnooperation on a shoulder, the applicant No. 1 for his title Fabricio Verdum (17-5-1) will meet the winner of fight between Josh Barnett (33-6) and Travis Brown (15-1-1) who will pass on December 28.

Such decision of the organization was sounded today at the press conference which have taken place in Las Vegas by the president of UFC Dana White. Date of carrying out fight becomes known later and directly depends on a state of health of the winner of a Saturday duel.

"We met Verdum few weeks ago. It seems to me, our position and that we want to see its performance" became clear to it, told Vayt. "He needs to fight.
