Peripetias of universal fight. Open regional team tournament on universal fight with participation of young athletes at the age of 14-17 years took place on December 7 on training base of Federation of army hand-to-hand fight of Tolyatti in the Avtozavodsky city district.

In the mid-nineties, when there was an active promotion of army and special troops, the television version of single combat with the name the Russian fight was thought up. Her authorship is attributed to the Olympic champion in judo wrestling Alexey Novikov. The double-event was the basis for rivalry — overcoming of an obstacle course and fight in a ring. In 1999 to this sport tried to give the official status. But there was an obstacle in the form of a large number of versions — over forty! Finally the uniform name unifight or universal fight was accepted. Since then the World Cups and Europe for adults and for youth, since 14 years are held.

Our type of single combat, really, is universal for any fighter — judo, sambo, hand-to-hand fight, a kickboxing — the president of Federation of universal fight of the Volga federal district, the judge of the international category Oleg Sidorenko emphasizes.  —  Fights in a ring go according to two versions.  The first, is classical universal fight in full contact — hand-to-hand equipment, throws, suffocating and painful receptions.  Also there is also easy universal fight,

meaning fight in a rack — the pure throw on a back is estimated as a flawless victory. The obstacle course is estimated as well as fight in a ring.

Open regional team tournament on universal fight is held the fifth year, it is included in Minsport's official calendar of the Samara region. The principle of team action that fighters fight "a wall on a wall". In each of nine categories, from 45 to 85 kg, test points are played.

Usually to us there come fighters from other regions — Orenburg, Saratov, Perm — Oleg Sidorenko who on this tournament was the chief judge noted. — This time decided to try in business the six teams — on two exposed Tolyatti and the Volga area, on one — Kinel and the Kinel-Cherkassky area. And, residents of Togliatti debuted in this discipline.

Really, in Federation of army hand-to-hand fight of Tolyatti and military patriotic club "Vympel" just look narrowly at the direction new to them. But, considering the widest universalizm of the Tolyatti fighters, it is possible not to doubt their future progress. On the basis of these two organizations the Pennant-1 and Pennant-2 teams were created. However, in the second combative team only five battled — in four categories points were automatically given to the rival.

The first competitions for Tolyatti on universal fight went over with great success.  Young fighters dashingly overcame the obstacle course consisting of shuttle run, somersaults and dives, firing from the pneumogun, knife and lifting throwings on a rope.  Advancing the rival more than for 15 seconds, the participant earned excess point for team.  Then the same two fighters met in a classical trekhraundovy duel.  It was necessary to win two rounds from three.

The final was reached by two, really, the strongest teams — "Pennant-1" and "Torch". The second Tolyatti team, despite small number, could reach the small final for the third place, having met with the first team of the Volga area.

The final turned out on lovely sight.  In an obstacle course — absolute equality on points.  In fights — small overweight of rural team which became the champion of regional tournament.  On the second place — the first national team of Tolyatti.  The national team of the Volga area won a meeting for the third place against the second Tolyatti team.

As experts of universal fight admit, the victory of the team "Torch" is quite natural. In the Kinel-Cherkassky area the universal fighter of area best for today — the triple champion of Russia, the world champion of this year according to light Sergey Sergeyev is trained, is many winners and prize-winners of youthful superiority of Europe and the world. And as for the Tolyatti rukopashnik, they surprised once again! It seems that wards of trainers Vitaly Glotov and Vladimir Tsibart are capable easily and to adapt quickly in any, most rigid kind of single combats!
