The unsinkable tyrant of the semi-easy UFCЖозе division Aldo will carry out the next protection of a title in February of the next year. The veteran of WEC Ricardo Lamas becomes his rival.

The duel will head cards of the UFC 169 tournament which will take place on February 1 on the Prudential Center arena in Newark, the State  New Jersey.

Aldo (23-1) won 16 last duels, having successfully protected a title of the champion of WEC and five times – the champion of UFC in semi-lightweight twice. The categorical nokauter (14 victories of KO/TKO) carried out the last fight in August on the UFC 163 tournament where Chen Sung Dzhanga stopped in the 4th round of "The Korean zombie" injuring a shoulder.

Lamas (13-2) won 4 fights in a row (and, actually, I won all the duels in UFC), having dealt with Matt Graysom, Hatsu Hioki, Kab Svonson and Eric Koch. Ricardo's last fight carried out at the beginning of this year, brutally having knocked out Koch in the second round. After it had to fight with Chen Sung Dzhangom on UFC 162, but the last was recruited on fight with Aldo instead of the left Anthony Pettis, and Lamas simply threw out from the card.
