Fabricio Verdum – the applicant for a title No. 1

The Brazilian heavyweight is declared by UFC the following rival of champion Keyn Velasquez.

According to the president of UFC, with the greatest probability, the following applicant No. 1 for a title of the champion in a heavy weight there will be Brazilian Fabricio of "Vi Kavalo" Verdum (17-5-1). Dana White made this statement today, right after the termination of UFC 166 on which operating champion Keyn Velasquez (13-1) defended the title in a match revenge with Junior dos Santos (16-3).
"Verdum probably will be the following: it makes the greatest sense. He grew in all aspects. This guy big, the strong, is able to hold shock and it has its ju-jitsu – he will want to fight on the earth that will make this fight very fascinating".
"Today guys walked all fight, and we saw, whose stand is the best. If Verdum offers battle in orchestra seats, I think that it will constitute for Keyn Velasquez big danger", told White.
Fabricio Verdum made a name in 2010, having become the first who managed to win against "The last emperor" Fedor Emelyanenko and to interrupt his advantageous series lasting since 2001 and numbering 27 victories in a row. At that time this achievement became the most power pulse for the Brazilian and actually restarted his career.
Today Verdum, with three victories in a row in UFC over Roy Nelsonom, Mike Russov and Antony Rodrigo Nogeyr, holds the third place of a rating of the best heavyweights of a planet, yielding a position only to Velasquez and dos Santos.
