JOSÉ ALDO: "I AM AFRAID OF NOBODY"

Monday, 02 September 2013, 13:20
JOSÉ ALDO:

After the victory over Ben Henderson, the new champion of UFC in lightweight, Anthony Pettis, threw down a challenge to the acting title holder of UFC in 145 pounds, José Aldo.

The trainer of the Brazilian, André Pederneyras, immediately answered in Twitter that they accept a call, but with one condition – the duel has to take place in semi-easy weight category.
"We saw how Pettis returned himself a champion belt in lightweight, but for fight with Aldo he should go down in 145 pounds", - Pederneyras wrote. "Now we wait for a call from Dana which has to report to us about the following protection of a title in semi-lightweight. If the duel with Pettis takes place, it has to pass as was initially planned – we want to see Anthony in 145 pounds. Anyway, this fight becomes reality, don't worry, but we want that everything would be frankly"
In turn the president of UFC, Dana White, scarified the statement of the Brazilian, having reported at a press conference after UFC 164 that fight can take place in any of two weight categories.
"They will fight", - White declared. "I know André for many years, and well him I treat but when it makes such statements all look like Aldo is afraid. It is quite possible that it not Aldo's opinion but all look like he is afraid of Anthony Pettis that already gives that a certain advantage"
José Aldo immediately answered criticism of the president of UFC, having declared that he is afraid of nobody and is ready to fight in any weight category, up to the heavy.
"I can fight with Keyn Velasquez if they want it", - told to Aldo in interview to the Brazilian TV show of Planeta Nocaute. "I am not a matchmeyker. I simply want to fight. I train every day and is ready to destroy any whom they will expose against me. I am afraid of nobody. My rivals have two feet and two hands – I will show the best, on what is capable, and I will come out the winner"
"My trainer is right in the sense that they forced us to be focused on this fight and to make concessions so now Andrée wants to receive something in exchange. I agree with everything that speaks to Andrée, but I am ready to fight with anyone. Sometimes Dana speaks such, on what it is better not to pay attention. He knows that to us promised, and understands that has to keep the promises. Therefore he tells such things. Let's look that as a result will occur"
"As for Anthony Pettis, he carried out good fight. It supervised a distance, and threw out some of very decent blows. Ben Henderson gave it a hand, without knowing how to leave this situation. The champion has to be ready to everything. You can lose in fractions of a second. It left a hand, and Pettis didn't become puzzled and carried out painful reception"
