THOMSON ASKS FIGHT WITH PETTIS

The ex-champion of Strikeforce Josh Thomson (20-5) shared judgement on a present situation in a division and expressed desire to meet in fight with Anthony Pettis (16-2) who at present is standing idle without the opponent.

"I asked and begged Joe Silva and Deyn White to give to me battle with Pettis. It took off from a duel in semi-lightweight and now, as far as I understand, waits for an issue of the combat of Henderson with the Grant, but I consider that on its place there shall be I. If he wants to reach title fight, let will pass through me. I am an applicant number one. I, and nobody else.
There is no need to wait so long and to stand idle till next year. I'm here. The whole world will want to see ours with Pettis a duel. And I am absolutely sure that this fight won't reach the decision. One of us will be knocked out. Audience will be glad if this fight takes place.
I am Pettis's great admirer, and very much I respect it. But I see that it erected on so high pedestal that it - the only thing that costs between me and a title. All my career rotated round this title, and there is no bigger title in this shitty world", - Thomson told.
