The Brazilian ju-jitsu is famous for unique equipment of fight in orchestra seats (on the earth) that allows the person even to very "modest" build to win against much larger rival. The young residents of Voronezh having experience in different types of martial arts and studying the Brazilian ju-jitsu, this year united in Fight team club. In May children took part in the first open Cup of Russia on the Brazilian ju-jitsu where more than 300 fighters competed. However, while they didn't manage to bring a victory, but for athletes it there was very valuable experience. "We learned necessary lessons and we will be improved further, – the head of club Ilya Kondratsionov speaks, – we plan to participate in several tournaments on the mixed single combats in the summer. Now club in a formation stage, and for us it is very important that it got serious support. The help in our undertaking was rendered by the deputy of the State Duma Sergey Tchizhov who does for development of professional and amateur sports much. Sergey Viktorovich not only conducts a lot of work in this direction at federal level, but also cares of creation of necessary infrastructure and promoting of new sports in the region. We very much appreciate its support".



Successors of the Count of fight. The history of the Brazilian ju-jitsu is connected with the identity of legendary Japanese fighter Mitsuye Mayed. Winning victories in duels worldwide, it found an honourable nickname of Columns of fight. In 1920 Mayeda arrived to Brazil where became the teacher of the son of local politician Gastao Gracie. Gracie's family and her pupils improved the equipment of single combat inherited from the Japanese master. This modification became known as the Brazilian ju-jitsu.
