The Russian fighter of the mixed single combats Ibrahim Ibragimov for life is disqualified for unsportsmanlike behavior. The president of the company reported about it on the organization of tournaments on the mixed single combats of M-1 Global Vadim Finkelstein.
His statement is published on an official site of the organization.
Ibragimov is punished for that attacked the rival Denis Smoldarev from Estonia after the end of fight. On May 23 the Russian and the Estonian met in a quarterfinal of the Grand Prix of M-1. The duel ended in the first round with Smoldarev's victory a technical knockout.
The Russian fighter was dissatisfied with defeat then started making a complaint to the referee and Smoldarev. Ibragimov tried to seize the Estonian by a throat, and also hit it with the head. Smoldarev didn't react in any way to an act of the Russian whom quickly dragged aside. Record of incident is laid out on Youtube.
Finkelstein declared that Ibragimov first of all for defeat should blame himself, instead of people around. "If the fighter isn't able to lose adequately, he has no need to come to a ring. Sports are sports, here result are unpredictable" — declared chapter M-1.
Also the Legion team which Ibragimov supported is inflicted punishment. Fighters of club will pass the following tournament under the auspices of M-1.
