Today in Sports palace "50 years of the Victory" started the first republican tournament on the mixed single combats of MMA (Mixed martial arts). According to the president of Federation of the mixed fighting single combats of MMA RS(Ya) Petro Malardyrov, in the first day of competitions will pass 39 duels and winners in five weight categories will be revealed.

Today in categories to 55 kg, 65 kg, 68 kg, 84 kg and 94 kg of single combat will take place up to final meetings, and winners in the evening become known. Tomorrow we will reveal winners on four categories. Our main task — that competitions took place with high sports spirit and without special traumas", - the chief judge sorevnovaniyaleksy Uvarov noted.
The greatest number of athletes, according to him, will fight for a victory in category to 65 kilograms — 19 athletes are declared. It is slightly less than participants, 17 people, it is declared in weight category to 70 kilograms. In only nine weight categories in the first republican championship it is declared over 80 participants representing 12 teams.
Among teams most of all representatives of sports clubs of the mixed single combats of Yakutsk, such as "Slavutich", SakhaFight, New Era MMA, "Polar bear". Besides, some participants represent uluses of the republic: athletes arrived from Verkhnevilyuysky, Mountain and Hangalassky uluses. Also the team was exposed by the Yakut state agricultural academy.
As the president of Federation of the mixed fighting single combats of MMA RS(Ya) Peter Malardyrov noted, a main goal of competitions is formation of a national team of RS(Ya) for participation in the championship of the Far East which will take place in Khabarovsk.
