The former champion of UFC in heavy weight Rikko Rodriguez (49-19) was arrested on suspicion in drunk driving.

Rodriguez was detained by police of Los Angeles after the breathalyzer showed excess of alcohol in its organism.

Some hours later the former champion it was released from custody on the security of $5,000, and declared that plans to demand charge removal.

Rikko Rodriguez won a vacant title of the champion of UFC in heavy weight in 2002, in blows elbows having compelled to be given Randi Kutyur (19-11).

By then Rikko already was considered as one of the best heavyweights in the world, and had victories over Jef Monson (48-13-1), Paul Buentello (31-15), Andrey Arlovskim (19-9), etc.

The first protection turned back belt loss for Rodriguez: in the first round it was knocked out by Tim Silvia (31-8).

Rodriguez lost the last duel in December of last year, and won only two victories in ten last fights.
