On February 1 passed the wrestling championship of Latvia in Riga.

Together to the daugavpilchena won 17 medals, but to city offset went only 16.

Representatives of the Greco-Roman style under the leadership of the trainer Vitaly Verdinsh took three gold. Without defeats on a carpet Nikita Masyuk, Czeslaw Beshtenis and Alexander Safonov acted. Alexander Yurkyan and Maxim Letsk became the second.

Irina Petrova – the student of DU, mother of two daughters and, the trainer of city DYuSSh took gold in categories to 58 kg. Anastasia Oprisnyak (-75 kg) – future doctor, the student of university of Stradinya, also was unsurpassed on a carpet. Girls train under supervision of the trainer Lyubov Kopylova. Anastasia Grigoryeva once again issued a champion title. Anastasia student of DU (faculty of law, 3rd course).

One more representative of Daugavpils ascended to the highest step of a podium – Karalina Tyapko (-53 kg). Its victory went to offset of the city of Liyepaya where it lives and works since September of last year, but points of trainer's offset went L. Kopylova. Karalina too is the student of DU, studies on the second year.

At wrestlers champions became Imant Lagodsky (-96 kg) and Alan Amirov (-70 kg).  Maxim Ivanov became the silver prize-winner of the championship in weight category to 70 kg. 

Igor Yukhnevich (-125 kg), Dmitry Yakovlev (-to 61 kg), Adrian Penkovsky (-67 kg), Evgeny Sherstov (-74 kg), Ilya Tarasov (-86 kg) became brozovy prize-winners of the championship.
