The honored trainer of the USSR and Russia, the Honoured Master of Sports of the USSR Yury Shakhmuradov in the late sixties arrived to Dagestan, here achieved the highest achievements in sports career, having become the world champion and the triple champion of Europe. Having headed USSR national team in 1972, he moved to Moscow. Later quarter of the century returned to Dagestan and till last year when it was appointed the head coach of Russian women's national team, worked as the director of the Center of the Olympic preparation in Makhachkala and the senior free-style wrestling coach of the national and republican national teams.

Yury Avanesovich along with Ali Aliyev and Zagalav Abdulbekov was among those wrestlers of the mountain country who the first glorified the republic on the international scene, and then, working as the trainer of national teams, brought a powerful contribution in preparation of the subsequent generations of the Dagestan wrestlers winning on the most prestigious competitions of the present.

The patriarch of the trainer's case of the country is awarded the second time this month. At the beginning of December he received the medal "For Merits before the Fatherland" of the degree from hands of the head of sports department of Russia Vitaly Mutko. This time to it the high award was handed over by the president of Dagestan Ramazan Abdulatipov.

After an awards ceremony Yury Shakhmuradov visited training of the combined republic which is on collecting in the Center of the Olympic preparation. Young colleagues and athletes congratulated professor of wrestling against a well-deserved reward and all team were photographed with him for memory.
