In Tyumen took place traditional tournament on Greco-Roman wrestling on the Cup of the world champion among veterans of Valentin Bachinin. Valentin Nikolaevich also congratulated prize-winners of youthful competitions. Young athletes competed in three age groups.

Competitions which were organized already for the eighth time, turned out representative. Two and a half hundred wrestlers became participants of duels. The Tyumen athletes were competed by representatives of Bashkiria, Udmurtia, Sverdlovsk, Omsk and Kurgan areas.

Owners of a carpet tried, and in three age groups won 11 gold medals. Among children of 2002-2003 year of birth residents of Tyumen Danil Velechenko (category to 25 kg) and Vyacheslav Okolelov (to 29 kg), and also the resident of Tobolsk Kirill Karymov (to 42 kg) won.

At young men of 13-14 years the success was celebrated by local athletes of Farads Gashumov (to 35 kg), Eric Harlapenko (to 54 kg), Nikolay Turgayev (to 69 kg) and Leonid Shchetkov (over 76 kg).

In tournament of athletes of 1998-99 year of birth residents of Tyumen rose by the highest step of a podium Oleg Shvegzhda (to 46 kg), Sergey Nikolaev (to 50 kg), Kamran Muradov (to 54 kg) and Akbar Halilov (to 63 kg).

Special prizes were awarded also. As the best wrestlers recognized residents of Tyumen – the pupil of sports school Okolelov's "Surf" and Nikolaev from the 3rd sport school of the Olympic reserve.
