On February 28, in Rome (Italy) passes meeting of bureau of the International federation of the integrated styles of wrestling (FILA). The president of Federation of wrestling of Russia, the Olympic champion Mikhail Mamiashvili was unanimously elected the vice-president of FILA. The election Mikhail Mamiashvili commented on WRESTRUS.RU.

"My candidate for a post of the vice-president of FILA was proposed by the president of FILA Nenad Lalovich, - Mikhail Mamiashvili told. – Then there was a standard procedure of submission of the biography and, actually, vote. As a result of me members of bureau from which my position and vision of prospects of wrestling disperse a little supported even. The new position is a serious trust and still big responsibility. I estimate results of today's elections, as an assessment of merits of Russia in wrestling preservation in the Olympic program. And also, as recognition of capacity of our country and its role in further development of wrestling on a global scale. For many years the Federation of wrestling of Russia in which the team of competent and skilled professionals works, acted as the initiator of progressive transformations. Many of them were realized only last year when wrestling had to prove the right to remain in the Olympic family. It is sure that leaning on opportunities of our country and the enormous importance of the Russian wrestling, we will be able to bring benefit to a favourite sport".

Mikhail Mamiashvili also told that FILA bureau highly appreciated Wrestling-2020 group work under the leadership of Georgy Bryusov which was engaged in preparation of presentation of wrestling for September session of the International Olympic Committee and introduction of transformations. "I kept FILA bureau behind Wrestling-2020 group of function on development and realization of reforms of world wrestling", - Mikhail Mamiashvili specified.
