On February 15 in the territory of the Domozhakovsky Village Council took place Republican tournament on Greco-Roman wrestling of memory of N. N. Domozhakov who was lost at execution of a military duty in Chechnya on 12.11.1995.

The senior lieutenant OMON Nikolay Domozhakov is awarded by the Medal "For Courage" and a courage Award.

"We are proud that Nikolay Domozhakov lived and studied in our village. But it was not the only war where men of our village participated. Exactly 25 years ago war in Afghanistan terminated. It lasted the whole 10 years. The Soviet soldiers with honor executed a military, office and international duty" – the official part of tournament opened.

Participants of operations were invited to tournament in Afghanistan: Victor Yakovlev, Victor Sunchugashev, Oleg Otev.

Participants of competitions were welcomed by the head of administration of the Domozhakovsky Village Council Grigory Mityukhlyaev, the minister of national and territorial policy of RH Dmitry Todyshev, the chief of the department of culture, youth policy, sports and tourism of the Ust-Abakansky area Elena Baravleva, the master of sports in free-style wrestling, the karate coach of the international category Alexey Karamashev, Nikolay Domozhakov's colleagues, representatives of a family of Domozhakov.
