Tournament on Greco-Roman wrestling of memory of the Honored trainer of BSSR O.I.Markovsky and his trainer N. F. Ivashko.

On January 10-11, 2014, the wrestling Palace of the triple Olympic champion A. V. Medvedya in Minsk (Kalinovsky St., 55), accepted the fifth open city team tournament on Greco-Roman wrestling of memory of the Honored trainer of BSSR O.I.Markovsky and his trainer N. F. Ivashko.

Competitions took place in two stages. In the first day to a carpet there were 115 representatives of all regions of Belarus, young men of 1998-2000 year of birth. Champions of tournament became: Minskers Saveli Rashchinsky (26 kg), Eldar Gasanov (42 kg), Veniamin Perminov (47 kg), Ismail Aliyev (53 kg), wrestlers from Molodechno - Daniil Kaylevich (29 kg), Arseny Shavlyuk (32 kg), Maxim Savostyanov (35 kg), the borisovchena Alexander Negoda (38 kg) and Kirill Maskevich (59 kg), Ivan Kuzmenko (Brest, 66 kg), David Zhukovsky (Berezino, 73 kg), Igor Yaroshevich (The Minsk district, more than 73 kg).

In the second day left to be overcome "a wall on a wall" representatives of teams of Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Sweden and two teams of Republic of Belarus. Despite early age of participants (juniors 1994-1995), passions on a carpet stormed well matched to the international tournament. In dispute for the third place the victory over wrestlers from Lithuania was won by wards of the Olympic champion V. Zavadsky (Poland), and, on pleasure to the Belarusian fans, to challenge the highest awards of tournament there were athletes of Belarus and Russia.

The first four fights were lost by representatives blue-eyed then to a carpet there was a wrestler of the main structure of a national team of RB Timur Berdyev (74 kg) (the pupil of RTsOP of single combats). Accompanied by violent shouts of fans, Timur showed the bright attacking wrestling sated with the transfers to orchestra seats and setups, and overcame the rival with the score 10:7.

In weight category of 84 kg Anton Dmitrichenko (the pupil of RTsOP of single combats) pleased the Belarusian fans with technical throws a deflection and a victory with the score 11:0.

Dmitry Kaminsky showed active offensive wrestling which was estimated by pronouncement of three preventions for passivity to his rival, and with the score 4:4 Dmitry became the third representative of Belarus, managed to prove the superiority over the guest from Russia.

As a result, the RB team took the second place of tournament, with the score 3:5 having conceded superiority to guests.

 Tournament was organized by initiative group of pupils of trainers Oleg Ivanovich Markovsky and Nikolay Fedorovich Ivashko under the leadership of Vadim Gennadevich Pilipenko.

Vadim Gennadevich Pilipenko tells:

— Tradition of such sport as wrestling, is the organization of tournaments of memory therefore almost right after death of the talented trainers who have brought up many masters of sports, prize-winners of the international tournaments, their pupils made the decision on the organization of this tournament.

All of us, the former pupils of Oleg Markovsky and Nikolay Ivashko working today as doctors, military, businessmen, trainers, kept so warm memories of the trainers, of those wrestling traditions which they in us put that we consider a duty to continue and transfer to their young generation of wrestlers.

Nikolay Ivashko prepared the whole group of talented wrestlers, including Alexander Shishkov (the world champion among juniors, the bronze prize-winner of the European championship among juniors), and BSSR which have become the Deserved trainer, Oleg Markovsky. Oleg Ivanovich long time worked as the head coach of sports club of army, his wards won titles of prize-winners of the world, Europe.

The pupils, prize-winners of the junior championships, Andrey Batura, Sergey Zhardetsky, I also consider as graduates of this trainer's school. Tournament is held in January as this month there were birthdays of both trainers. Organizers and participants set as the purpose to honor memory of trainers and to give the chance to younger generation of wrestlers to test themselves in the conditions of the international competitions, to share experience, to grind skill.
