In Italy there was no more authoritative person in the world of single combats, than Matteo Pellicone. The economist in the specialty, he, according to him, was connected 55 years with combat sports. In youth  Pellikone was engaged in Greco-Roman wrestling, then succeeded in quality of the sports functionary. In 1981 him elected the president of the Italian federation of single combats (FILJKAM) which unites wrestling, judo, karate and other martial arts. He directed this organization up to November of last year, having retired on a state of health.

FILA on the site expressed condolences to the family of the eminent sports person. Farewell to it will take place in the Sports center in Ostiya that near Rome. This modern center where leading Italian martial artists train, is built at the initiative of Matteo Pellicone, in it FILJKAM headquarters settled down.
