On December 1 the 31st birthday was celebrated the Russian wrestler of the Greco-Roman style, the native of Dushanbe Hassan Baroyev.

WCh-2003

At adult level Hassan Baroyev achieved the first outstanding success in 2003 in the World Cup in the French Kretey. A year later after Games-2000 the International federation fight reduced frames of the heaviest weight category with 130 to 120 kg, and that WCh was only the second in a new format. On a tournament course the debutant of WCh Baroyev in rivals got American Rulon Gardner who has become in 2001 the last world champion in category to 130 kg, and in a year before benefited in the final of the Olympic Games at the great Russian Aleksandr Karelin. And in that fight Baroyev managed to win a difficult victory over the representative of the USA.

After this Baroyev successfully reached the final, where won against Hungarian Mikhali Deaka-Bardosh known for that during career five times reached decisive duels of WCh, but all the time conceding in them.

OG-2004

The next year Baroyev won the principal victory in the career. At the Olympic Games in Athens it surely went to the of success, beating the rivals "dry" one behind another. Gardner could become his opponent on the final, but it conceded in a semi-final to Kazakhstan "classic" of the Georgian origin Georgy Tsurtsumiya. The final for Baroyev developed hard. It conceded on a course of a duel 0:2 and only on the sixth minute managed to break a fight course in own favor and to win a gold medal.

WChW-2006

Having passed the World Cup-2005, in 2006 Baroyev proved again the superiority over competitors. In the WCh final in the Chinese Guangzhou the Russian met with the operating title holder Cuban Mijain Lopez Núnez and achieved a sure victory.

ChE-2007

The European championship-2007 in Sofia Baroyev carried out in excellent style. Again it surely reached the tournament final where won against Czech David Vala.

However since 2007 the situation with leadership in category to 120 kg at world level changed. On WCh in Baku and the next year at the Olympic Games in Beijing Baroyev suffered a defeat in the finals from the same person – Mijain Lopez Núnez. The Cuban then benefited two more WCh in a row, Baroyev took some break in performances at the largest competitions.

CHE-2011

Having returned to the national team in the World Cup-2010 in Moscow, Baroyev didn't manage to be overcome in the capital of Russia for medals, having conceded in the third duel to future bronze prize-winner of tournament Kazakhstan citizen Nurmakhan Tinaliyev. However already next spring on ChE in Dortmund Baroyev again excellent proved, having won the final of tournament of the operating owner of the European gold of the Turk against Ryza Kayaalpa.

Kayaalp in September, 2011 on a house FM in Istanbul which Baroyev passed, won a victory over Lopez Núnez in the final. And in the spring the 2012th took a revenge and from Baroyev, having won against it a decisive duel of the European championship in Belgrad. However, the Olympic Games in London were the principal start of year, but there the Russian appeared unsuccessfully. It conceded in the first fight to the ex-compatriot appearing nowadays for Armenia to Yury Patrikeev who replaced sporting nationality after wasn't included in Russian national team composition on Games-2004 where there went Baroyev. Gold at the Games was won again by Lopez Núnez.

In 2013 Baroyev didn't appear also some managed to declare that he finished career, however it not so. The Olympic champion-2004 continues to train, but for the present didn't decide, whether will quit again on a carpet. According to him, it in many respects depends on the decision of the International federation of fight which later plans to expand more than 10 years again frames of the heaviest weight category to 130 kg. In this case Baroyev can declare completion of the performances.
