Recently passed in Minsk anniversary, XX International tournament devoted to memory of the first Olympic champion in Greco-Roman wrestling of Oleg Karavayev, collected enthusiastic responses of the audience.

Fans, marking efforts of organizers tried to arrange the real holiday in capital Sports palace, at the same time didn't hide the delight and ancient single combat. After rules by which fights were carried out changed, it found dynamism and the staginess before staying in a deficit. The Belarusian team didn't make, having won "silver" of prestigious tournament. Unfortunately, having conceded in the final of the Russian national team.

The correspondent of "joint venture" decided to learn judgement of experts on ended starts and addressed to mentors of teams who sorted out the relations in a decisive meeting.

The head coach of the national team of Belarus Kamandar MADZHIDOV, despite the unfavourable aggregate result, disappointed didn't look.

— Certainly, that fact that lost in house walls to Russians, at all doesn't please. However guys on a course of the final showed character, I am eager for wrestling and aspiration to a victory.

Alas, much of them yet don't have competitive experience. But if they continue to work over themselves with the same eagerness, new progress not far off. We will work, learn. Very much it was pleasant to me as guys looked during a meeting with the strong Kazakhstan national team. They managed to be set up on wrestling and, having shown the best qualities, to benefit against very dangerous rivals.

— Whether it is possible to tell, what today we saw a pre-image of an Olympic team in Rio de Janeiro?

— To some extent this statement is fair, certainly. I think that already we have a frame of future team. Other question that these guys as it is peculiar to young athletes, yet don't please with stability of performances at the high level. And someone from the second national team can quite add.

— You could select someone personally?

— In my opinion, the best qualities during tournament were shown by our leader for today — Jaweed Gamzatov. In wrestling with the Russian athlete he lost 3:0, however found forces to break a course of a duel and to benefit. It, certainly, an example, worthy for imitating by younger athletes. Also is worth a lot.

However, remaining children also tried.

— Once again about rules...

— I think that the international federation on the right track. You saw that tribunes of Sports palace were full. Fans with a reluctance left a hall, very emotionally supporting wrestlers. It means that instructions already should be changed long ago that wrestlers at last could show everything, on what are capable, and not just to stand and wait for lot.

— It was how heavy to set up athletes on final fights, after all, by and large, they had "silver" in a pocket?

— I want to thank wrestlers that they treated this duel with all responsibility. They have a feeling of advantage, and none of them powerlessly weren't going to concede. Other question that with some of athletes played an evil joke tension which they tested before a duel with Russians, and couldn't show everything, on what are capable. Well, we will work, learn.

The coach of Russian national team, the bronze prize-winner of Games-1992, the fivefold world champion Gogi KOGUASHVILI, speaking about competitions, I marked what to come to Minsk and his ward very much it is pleasant to it.

— Tournament always takes place in Minsk interestingly, and this year not an exception. Karavayev's memorial — is a tribute to the memory of the great athlete in the past who possessed improbable technique of wrestling. It is pleasant that in Belarus honor a wrestling legend, annually arranging in his honor so scale competitions. Organizers can admire only. We will tell, many official starts under the auspices of the International federation of wrestling on which it happened to happen, don't carry out so adequately, as here, in Belarus. In the end of the year such tournaments very opportunely. They are very useful and shall be present at a calendar of the international federation.

— The Russian team arrived in the status of the favourite which justified...

— Before going to Minsk, we set the task to check in the case of our young athletes, those children who only appeared in our command. Review of forces was very successful. Here I am already the fifth or sixth time as the head coach. I can tell that our national team won on local carpets not always. But here the second year in a row we are the strongest, and this fact can be glad only.

— How evaluate rivals? It seems that at a group stage Russians beat them quite easily...

— Wrestling teaches that it is necessary to be respectful to any rival. Even when we benefited on 7:0 against the rivals, wouldn't tell that these points were given to our wrestlers without effort. The same national team of Georgia which we overcame with the minimum advantage, very good, perspective team, the positive result of a meeting with it to the last I hung by a thread.

— Impressions of decisive fights with Belarusians...
