The president of Federation of wrestling of Russia Mikhail Mamiashvili on Thursday, November 21, celebrates the 50 anniversary.
The Soviet wrestler of the Greco-Roman style, the president of the Federation of Wrestling of Russia (FWR) Mikhail Geraziyevich Mamiashvili was born on November 21, 1963 in the city Konotop, the Sumy area, Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic (nowadays Ukraine).
Lesson classic wrestling started in 13 years in the sports school in Konotop. The first trainer — Anatoly Efremov.
Since 1978 Mikhail Mamiashvili trained under the leadership of trainer Eric Zadykhanov in the wrestling Center of the Olympic preparation "Manpower reserves" (Moscow). Since 1981 played for the Central sports club of army.
Mikhail Mamiashvili — the winner of the III All-Union games of youth in weight category to 74 kg (1982), the world champion among juniors in weight category to 74 kg (1983), the winner of the VIII summer Sports contest of the people of the USSR (1983), the champion of the USSR in weight category to 74 kg (1983, 1984), the owner of the World Cup (1984), the owner of the Supercup (1985), the champion of Europe (1986, 1988, 1989), the world champion in weight category to 74 kg (1983, 1985, 1986), the Olympic champion in weight category to 82 kg (1988), the owner of two gold belts founded by the International federation of wrestling (1986, 1988).
In 1984 on the international tournament "Druzhba" Mikhail Mamiashvili was recognized as the best wrestler.
During the sports career Mikhail Mamiashvili was repeatedly elected the captain of a national team of the USSR.
In 1990 ended courses of instructors on sports of the top skills at Military institute of physical culture, Omsk state institute of physical culture. Candidate of pedagogical sciences (1998).
In 1991 Mamiashvili left big-time sports and since 1992 passed to trainer's work. The same year on Olympic Games Mikhail Mamiashvili acted as the head coach of a national team of the CIS on wrestling.
In 1992-1995 — the head coach of a national team of Russia on Greco-Roman wrestling. In 1995-1997 — the chief of team — the head coach of team on Greco-Roman wrestling in CSKA. In 1995-1997 I was the vice-president of Federation of wrestling of Russia, since 1997 to the present — the president of FSBR.
In 1998-2002 Mikhail Mamiashvili was the chief of CSKA. Since 1998 — the member of executive committee of the International federation of wrestling (FILA). Since 2000 is a part of Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) executive committee.
Mikhail Mamiashvili is the author and the coauthor of a number of scientific and methodical works and publications, including "The target comprehensive program of preparation of a national team of Russia on Greco-Roman wrestling to Olympic Games of 2000" (1996), "A function chart of management of improvement process in types of single combats" (1998), "A technique of high-speed and power preparation of wrestlers" (1998), "System of complex control in types of single combats" (1998).
Mikhail Mamiashvili — the deserved master of sports of the USSR (1984), the deserved trainer of the USSR and Russia (1992). "The honor Sign" (1985), "For merits before the Fatherland" II (1997) and I degrees (2001), a medal of honor (2011), etc. is awarded by awards of Friendship of the people (1989).
In 2013 it was awarded by the Certificate of honor of the president of the Russian Federation.
Has the rank of colonel.
Mikhail Mamiashvili is married, he has three daughters and the son.
