19-year-old Ruben Minasyan won silver in weight category 55 kilograms in the second day of the World Cup among juniors in Bulgaria

About 400 wrestlers gathered in Sofia from 55 countries of the world.  Having become the prize-winner, Ruben executed the standard of the master of sports of the international class, and the master Russian became in 15 years!

He is the pupil of the Yaroslavl children's junior school of wrestling. Trains at Sergey Vladimirovich Samsonov. And the father, the master of sports of the USSR Arthur Minasyan was the first instructor. They lived then in the Armenian Vardenis.

- Greco-Roman wrestling is a symbol of friendship. On a carpet all of us are rivals, and behind a carpet as brothers. Once on Superiority of Russia I had to enter wrestling with one of the best friends Aram Akopyan from Tolyatti. I defeated him, - Ruben tells. - It is the triple winner of Superiority of Russia, the international tournaments in Belarus, Ukraine, Georgia. In the same time there was very heavy lot. Usually, if rivals from the countries where wrestling isn't so developed, African or Israel come across, for example, that can be won and passed quite easily in the ending. But there was all on the contrary: rivals were from Romania, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Georgia. The Kazakh – the prize-winner of the Olympic Games on cadets in Singapore, the Armenian – the winner of Superiority of Europe, the Georgian – the silver prize-winner of Superiority of Europe.

Having won the main meetings, in the ending Ruben lost to Kilik Serif from Turkey. The duel lasted only minute. Rules changed recently for the sake of staginess, and athletes get used to them hard. Time increased till 6 minutes (2 rounds for three minutes), fights became more intensive. Not all maintain speed, can pass action, as happened to Ruben. Besides in two weeks prior to the Championship it pulled a lateral muscle on an ankle. Two days rested in bed, and on the third already I was on a carpet. Very painful subject and so-called "vesogonka". In a week it was necessary to send 6-7 kilograms. It was especially difficult during basic collecting on Elbrus. During 8-kilometer cross-country on the mountain to Azau Ruben it became bad, jumped up pressure. In total collecting was four, trainings for 8 hours! It including the high-speed and power. In 40 seconds it was necessary to throw a dummy of 8 times, and then – lifting on 4-5 meter rope. Such exercises, alternating, it was necessary to repeat 10 times.

There is at it one more sports hobby – perfectly shoots and a lot of time carries out to a dash.   And besides Ruben's sports thirst for knowledge always distinguishes.   It with honors graduated from capital specialized college "Sparta" majoring in the physical culture teacher.   This year I became the student of YaGPU of a name Ushinsky, physical education faculty.   Has ability to languages.   Except Russian and Armenian is fluent in English.   In plans to learn French.   The young man reads much, especially him attracts with Paulo Coelho's philosophy.   The favourite novel - "Alchemist". 

Now Ruben prepares for very responsible international tournament on Greco-Roman wrestling, Ivan Poddubny's memorial where will act for the first time in an adult age category.
