The chairman of the Ivano-Frankovsk federation of fight commented on a situation round the Olympic Games

The other day the executive committee of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) recommended to exclude wrestling from the program of summer Olympic Games of 2020. Fight didn't get to the list of 25 "main" types of the Olympic program, and now has to compete for a place with seven sports.

The executive committee the IOC which recommended to exclude fight from the Olympic program, includes 15 people, including the president the IOC Jacques Rogge. However it on this matter didn't vote. So, the decision was made by 14 people. Vote took place in four rounds. Fight, pentathlon and field hockey got to "ending". For an exception of fight eight voted, other two candidate look received on three voices.

Vote was secret, and motives of these people aren't clear. They say that sports officials considered some criteria - television ratings of sports, sales of tickets, number of doping scandals, interest of the press and popularity in the world. On many of these criteria fight allegedly received a low rating.

The IOC is very conservative organization therefore the decision of its executive committee on fight is the real revolution. The last time from the Olympic program someone withdrew in 1936. Then under blow of officials the polo got. Since then the list of types only expanded.

As so it turned out that fight recommended to throw out for a board,  couldn't explain even the press attache the IOC Mark Adams. According to him, matter isn't that with fight something not so, and that with other sports everything is very good. Agree, an explanation - well very original.

To one of the reasons of such step of executive committee the IOC Jacques Rogge's conflict to the president of the International federation of the integrated styles of fight (FILA) Raphael Martinetti, - is told by Edward Proshchuk, the president of Federation of free-style wrestling of the Ivano-Frankovsk area. - Martinetti wasn't qualified in the business, many times changed rules. The IOC repeatedly pointed out Martinetti the defects of his reforms, but he didn't listen to remarks. In recent years fight lost the staginess, and refereeing - objectivity. That it cost only one rule about a lot when athletes pull counters and solve who does capture. Thus, who will win fight, decides accident"

The world wrestling community already reacted. On Saturday, February 16, at a special session of FILA bureau in Thailand Martinetti dismissed. The new president have to elect in April-May.

"The executive committee decision the IOC is, of course, absurdity, - Edward Proshchuk speaks. - But, on the other hand, probably, it will push FILA to courageous and radical changes to the best".

So, now the Greek-Roman, free-style and female wrestling are in a hover. On the Olympic Games-2016 in Rio de Janeiro fighters still will act, and whether they here will get on games-2020 - in doubt. Now fight appeared in the list of candidate views of those games. Competitors are baseball, softball(them consider as one sport), karate, roller sports, squash, sports rock-climbing, a veykbording and wushu.

Finally Olympic destiny of wrestling will decide at session the IOC in Buenos Aires in September of this year. In the same place will define also the capital of the Olympic games-2020.
